Hi there, as the title says, since installing Windows 8.1 on our T5500 workstation, the external Esata port is giving us problems.
Nothing shows up for our connected Raid drive under disk management, however there is an eject option in safely remove hardware, which to the best of my knowledge shouldn't happen with ESata anyway.
If we connect the drive via USB3 it works without problem.
The same problem occurs if we attach a different drive via ESata, so it isn't a problem with the drive.
We installed the latest chipset drivers for Win 7 x64
Any idea what the problem might be? Or if there is a specific Windows 8.1 friendly driver we need to install?
Everything else seems to be working perfectly.
Cheers
