Hi!
I bought a new 4gb Kingston ram today and my computer won't work at all.
The rams I had before ( I still have them) were 4 x 1gb and if I try to start the computer with the new ram + 3x1gb ( the old rams) it stays in the first "inspirion" loading screen, where I should be able to press either F2 or F12 but can't. It just freezes there.
I've also tried to start the computer only with the new ram in different slots, but it doesn't help much. It gets through the first loading screen, but when it starts to load Windows, it stops and gives me Blue Screen Of Death! It has given me 4 different errors and every time I try to boot again, it won't get past the Windows loading screen.
This is the new ram: http://www.kingston.com/dataSheets/KVR13N9S8_4.pdf
And this is the old rams: DELL Kingston 1Gb PC3-10600 1333Mhz DDR3 Desktop Memory RAM , KTW149-ELD.
To my eyes those two have the same "basic" stats, so it should work with my motherboard.
Help needed!
