Recently got my first tablet (Dell Venue - Android). I'm a total Android noob so some (dumb) questions:
1. Is free Malwarebytes app with real-time scanning a good choice and is it enough protection?
2. So many apps want access to so much of my stuff. Any way to limit them, aside from uninstalling (or not installing) them? Already getting bunches of emails about "your new Android tablet". Sure didn't take long for the news to spread. [:(]
3. Tablet came with email app pre-installed (in addition to Gmail). I set up my email account info and it checks automatically after booting and logging into my secure home WiFi network. But if I log into a public WiFi network and it checks email automatically, does that expose my user name and password? In other words, should I delete my account info since I don't see any way to prevent the app from checking automatically after logging into an unsecured network. All I can set is the time between checks.
Thanks!
