Can you advise please? My Dimension 8400 has just lost the C drive and I'm going to need to replace it. Consequently, I can't run any of the Windows advisor software from Microsoft to check out the hardware capabilities of this PC.
I'm planning to now take the opportunity of moving from Win XP SP3 to Windows 7... probably the Home Premium version.
Can you tell me, do I have to install the 32 bit version of Win 7 or can I use the 64 bit version with this hardware.
If it's of any relevance - and if my memory serves me well - the BIOS is A05.Will that need an update?
