Hello All,
I've downgraded a few XPS 8700 machines to Windows 7 Pro 64-bit and everything works great except that the USB 3.0 drivers will not install.
Listed under the drivers list is: http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/19/driverdetails?driverid=1TH4K
However, when I try to install it, it gives me an error message before it even loads:
"This computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing this software."
I know for a fact that this computer is equipped with it because I was playing with it on Windows 8 before downgrading. All the ports work fine but they just aren't recognized as 3.0. I even tried to do it manually by extracting the files and update it from device manager (Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controller) but it just tells me it cannot find the driver for it.
Thank you for reading and I hope someone will be able to help me figure something out.
