I purchased the Dell Venue 8 tablet so i could use the SD card functionality. With what appears to be the latest Dell-Andriod platform, the functionality has disappeared where you could once utilize the sd card as you wished and move apps to and from it. This is the first Android operating system i have used where this functionality was removed. It is not even a greyed out icon, it is gone and with it the only real reason i purchased this tablet. I have found online, a number of people frustrated with this omission many of whom returned their tablet. Why was it removed? A security concern? If so, it should still be up to me to make that choice.
*It should be noted that when i purchased this tablet, the functionality was absent.
Will there be an update or patch released that will "correct" this problem/oversight? Please help!
