Hi, I was hoping somebody from Dell could tell me how the Serial / PS2 adaptor works for the OptiPlex 9020M. We already own a number of 9020M and in the past we've specified extra DisplayPorts for them. The DisplayPort is accessible through a small hole in the back of the chassis that is not much bigger than a DisplayPort. I was intrigued by the Serial / PS2 option which is supposed to sit behind the same small opening in the cassis. The owners manual shows how to install and remove this optional board but it only shows a photo of the circuit board and not what pokes through the small hole in the chassis. I'm quite sure that an RS232 and PS2 port are way to big to go through that hole so im assuming there must be some kind of proprietary conversion cable that plugs into the circuit board through the hole in the chassis and gives you the ports required on the other end. The trouble is I cant find anything anywhere saying this. No written confirmation or photos of how this all works. I want to possibly order 14 of these computers with this option but I cant find what I need to know. Can anybody advise or provide photos?
