My XPS 18 willl not power up, after my son mistakenly stuck the microphone jack into the USB port. Motherboard probably fried.
The USB port is only 1/2 inch above the two USB ports. Makes sense to put it somewhere else. It is easy, while fumbling on the thin edge of the XPS, trying to find the mic jack hole, to slip into the USB port.
Looks like a few hundred dollars mistake on this one.
