My XP 8300 sometimes will connect to the internet as it's supposed to, as it has just now. Often, though, it simply will not connect despite numerous tries. When I try to find out why it says that the system cannot detect a network adapter and, the screen varies, sometimes refers to drivers that are needed.
1. Given my age, can anyone in plain and simple terms, using short words, tell me how to fix this? Begging your indulgence,I need directions broken down into individual steps with explanations.
2. Does anyone know why it will sometimes connect and sometimes won't?
I bundle, and this problem started when I had Xfinity and continues with AT & T and neither outfit's laughingly termed "help line" can help.
