I have a Precision T5600 which will not boot. The front panel displays only a 3 which would indicate a processor failure. I replaced the processor with a Dell warranty part and the system still does the same thing. I then replaced the system board and it still does the same thing. Now comes the fun part, If I remove any 1 of the memory modules it boots fine. Please note, I said any one module. It doesn't matter which one. Seems like it only wants to boot with three modules in the system. I have swapped the memory modules around and they all test fine. So now we have ruled out the processor, system board and memory modules as a source of the problem, The only thing left is the power supply and that makes no sense at all. I've been a Dell authorized tech for over twenty years and this one has me stumped. HELP!
