It took a VERY LONG time to learn that more than 2 USB devices attached at bootup will cause the Inspiron 620 to power off after only a few seconds. But now i'd like to use a 3rd USB attached flash drive to support Windows Defender Offline (WDO). The flash drive was tried in the rear and in the front USB ports without success (apparently ignored). The BIOS boot sequence is:
(1) USB "floppy" drive - which i assume is what Dell calls a flash drive or external HD
(2) CD/DVD - works when disk is installed
(3) HD - this is where the OS loads from if no disk installed
Why won't the flash drive load properly even 'tho it is boot sequence # 1 ? Thanx.
