Dell Inspiron 660 has a bad memory slot. It has two slots 4GB in each slot, 8GB total. Only 4GB are showing. I removed the ram and switched them around and tried one in each slot. My left hand side slot is not working. Is this a common problem? Is it costly to replace the Mother board? Any other fixes for this? Can I put one 8GB in one slot if I were to buy one?
