I have an Optiplex 745 Core 2 Duo running Vista as the OEM operating system. Works great. Love this machine to death.
Need to add a USB device that requires Windows 7 media center to function. Was going to try this on one of my Dell GX280's but reports seem ti indicate that machine may not be up to the task of running 7.
Questions: Any issues with this process that I should be aware of, such as:
1) is it better to wipe the C drive and start from scratch or does the upgrade work well.
2) the Dell driver site does not list Windows 7 as a driver option. Do the Vista drivers for video, audio, ethernet, etc. work just as well.
