I have a 2 month old Dell Studio 1537 laptop running Vista. So whenever i browse the Internet whether it be FireFox, IE, or Google Chrome all the browsers just stop working after about 45 minutes, by stop i mean they still function, all the options are there, BUT none of them can access the Internet anymore, they just seem to search for proxys that they cant find. When i try to stop the process tree for these browsers it just wont stop, they just carry on running. So the only way to stop the problem is to restart the laptop which when this problem occurs often takes about 10 minutes to shut down.
Now the really odd thing is that Skype and MSN still function normally, i can still chat on them when all the browsers have frozen. I have have virus checked everything, and tried reinstalling everything but the problem is still heppening.
This problem i though was an internet problem at uni, but in fact has been happening since i bought the laptop because as i don't live at uni anymore and have a proper bt modem the problem is still there, making it a problem that has been there since i bought the computer.
DELL keep sending me to a premium service that i just can't afford to pay being a unistudent so i am totally stuck, i can't do any prolonged uni work, and i can't get it repaired.
