I am at my wits end. Turned on my Optiplex 390 some days ago and found that neither my mouse or keybord was working. I have tried all the usb ports on the back and front. When i plug inn the keybord the numlock, capslock and scroll lock lights upp for half a second but its not detected.
I cant enter the bios. as my keyboard is not detected at all. startup or windows or linux or dos or Freedos.
My Bios is A01. Would try to update, but you know no keyboard, i have tried to reset bios by the jumper and to take out the battery for a couple of hours. to no awail.
Can anyone think of what the problem could be? dubt its hardware since none of the usb ports work and they should be on different controllers.
