OptiPlex 390--Can't uninstall Dell System Detect

I am running Windows 7 Professional 32 Bit on an OptiPlex 390. I am having issues removing Dell System Detect. According to Control Panel/Programs and Features, DSD version 5.5.0.19 and DSD-1 version 5.14.0.9 were installed on my system on 2/16/2015. On 2/18, I disabled DSD using msconfig to keep it from running at every startup. On 2/28, I tried to uninstall it using Control Panel/Programs and Features. I got a popup saying "An error occurred while trying to uninstall Dell System Detect. It may have already been uninstalled. Would you like to remove it from the Programs and Features List?" I clicked Yes, and got this message, "You do not have sufficient access to remove Dell System Detect from Programs and Features List. Contact your System Administrator." When I log on through the Administrator account, DSD and DSD-1 do not appear in the Programs and Features List.

I know that DSD and DSD-1 have not been uninstalled from my system. I see DellSystemDetect.exe running in Task Manager, although I have it disabled in msconfig. It appears as network activity in my Firewall, although only DSD-1 version 5.14.0.9 is shown as having been active. The DSD icon appears in Control Panel/Notification Area Icons.

How do I get rid of this? I suppose I could just deny it network access through the firewall, but that's not a very clean solution. I want it gone! Any suggestions on how to get rid of this beast? Thanks for your help.
