I have an Inspiron 3847 Win 8.1 Desktop that has an intermittent memory slot.. I also wanted to upgrade the video card but the case is too small. So I decided to buy a new larger case and cannibalize the CPU and the 16 GB of RAM and stick them on a new MB. I have installed Win 7 from the Home Premium disks I bought to make sure everything works.
I downloaded the win 8 ISO from Microsoft, but I don't have the win 8 license key for the 3847 since it's buried in the BIOS. How do I get the key for the 3847 so I can install Windows 8?
