Hi
a mate sent his OptiPlex 745 to me to fix because it is not booting up,
the boot cycle just doesn't complete.
He just sent the PC and no cables, I do not have the required
cable, I have the monitor plugged into the VGA input but get this message
System halted!
Attention: Unsupported Video Configuration Detected
Action is Required
This computer has an add-in graphics card, but the monitor is plugged
into the integrated video connector.
To attach the monitor cable to the add-in graphics card:
1. Shut down the computer
2. Plug the monitor cable into the add-in graphics card connector.
This may require a video adapter or video adapter cable.
(provided with the system)
3. Turn on the computer.
This message should not appear after completing these steps.
For more information or help, please refer to the system documentation
When trying to get into the bios to configure the use of the Integrated Video
I cannot, probably because this is the first time the PC has been booted with this
keyboard so is not recognising it., so pressing F2 on boot does nothing.
Is there some way around this?
Cheers
savey
