Hi,
I have a 3 year old XPS 8500. I am getting an "Intel UNDI, PXE-2.1" error which I understand is where the PC is looking for a network device to boot from.
I looked at the boot order, and for HDD devices, only the SSD is listed.
I also ran through Diagnostics and only the SSD was tested.
It appears as if it doesn't see the normal hard drive. [Module,Hard Drive,2T,S3,7.2,#1,SGT-MUSKIE]
I have the unit open. What can I do to see if I can fix this? I'm sure a new hard drive is warranted, but I really would like to get access to the old hard drive. Thank God I keep a backup (which I'm now backing up again!), but I really want to get my music (which I only have a subset backed up) and I have some other things that I wouldn't mind getting access to.
