Installing more RAM memory

Hi, I just purchased a Dell XSP 8900 and decommissioned my Dell XSP 8500.  My question is can I use the RAM memory chips in my old 8500 in my new 8900?  Also, can I use the old hard drive and DVD read/write drive?
