Purchased in 2010 - system froze - restarted but got message that there's a problem with the HD.
Disk check complained, could do check and windows7 started.
It appeared that the OS seemed to be hosed. Very slow response.
Resource monitor showed some drive activity but %highest active time was pegged at 100%
After several attempts to either check the drive and/or rebooting, opened the case and removed the HD.
Checked the HD on another system and there were error reported that I let windows7 repair.
After that, the drive was reported as healthy.
I put the drive back into the case but now I get nothing on the screen; no bios boot messages.
The power light (in the button on top) comes on but the drive does not spin up.
The fan comes on but no bios boot up messages.
I now seem to have a recoverable HD but nothing else.
Any suggestions would be appreciated (e.g. a secret anti-tamper switch in the case? :)
