Hello I have a Dell Inspiron 3847 and I was trying to figure out if anyone else was having the same problem or maybe solved the problem. My Inspiron 3847 will not power on at all after I shut it down regularly to go to work. The power button is not blinking and onced pressed, it does nothing. The only time the power button comes on and shows the white light and the other components of the computer start going is when I press the test button on the back of the computer and hold it. Once I let the test button go everything shuts off. If I unplug the power cord from the back of the computer and plug it back in, the computer will act like it is starting up then shut right off after 2 seconds. I've tried pressing and holding the power button for 30 sec to drain the remaining power and that didn't work. Like the support video, I've tried the self test option by diconnecting all external and internal devices and plugging each one in one by one while pressing the test button between each reconnection. The green solid light on the back of my computer lights up with each internal connection so that test was no help. If anyone has the same problem or has solved the problem and can help I would greatly appreciate it because I was told by a tech that it would be over $300+tax to fix and I'm thinking that's just like buying a new computer.
