Unplugged tower, now won't turn on

No good deed goes unpunished.  I yanked the power strip cord from the wall outlet yesterday during an electrical storm.  We had not experienced any lights flickering or momentary outages.

Now I can't get the desktop to do anything.  The green LED light on the back of the computer that is normally always on is unlit.  

This is a Dell Inspiron 530.  

Is the power supply wrecked?
