I am planning to upgrade my Inspiron 530 from Vista to Windows 7. Would doing this necessarily require an update to my bios? Is there a way to find this out?
Also, the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor indicates that after I install Windows 7 I will need to install the latest driver for ATI Radeon Hd 2400 PRO, which I believe handles my display. (Incidentally, I do not run games on this desk top.) If I updated it now while I'm on Vista might that cause a problem? My thought is that if I don't do this my display may not work at all with current driver when I initially bring up my pc with the new Windows 7 in it. Or might this not be a problem at all?
