XPS2720 On-Screen Caps Lock Notification Not Working

I am very frustrated with Dell technical support and hoping someone here can provide the answer I am looking for.  After spending nearly 5 hours on the phone this morning (mostly on hold), I was able to fix one of the two issues for which I was calling (I discovered the fix myself via Google during wait).  It appears the second fix is related to the first and should have been fixed as well, but was not the case.  It was clear Dell didn't have the answer and put me on hold for several more hours until I finally had to give up.  So here it goes...

I have a XPS2720 All in One running Windows 8.1.  The stock keyboard does not have any indication on the keyboard when Caps Lock is selected, so there is suppose to be an onscreen indication.  Dell technical support got this working for me at one time in the past, but after having to reinstall a crashed OS, it is no longer working.

This morning I installed the "Dell Wireless Keyboard and Mouse KM714 Caps Lock OSD and CD Eject Application" Driver which fixed the other issue I was having with the CD eject key.  The reason I hadn't found this before is it is not shown as driver for my system on the dell site, but the tech assured me it was for my keyboard and was compatible with the XPS2720 as well.  Unfortunately, it did not enable the OSD caps lock.  Despite the fact my computer is still under warranty and Dell has fixed this once before, Dell technical support is unable to provide the assistance required.

I have also tried creating the following key in my registry (since it didn't exist) and setting to 1 as well without success.

Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Widcomm\BTConfig\General\KeyIndication

Any help will be appreciated.  This computer has been a disaster and will be my last Dell purchase!

Andy
