Use the free ZoneAlarm firewall along with Microsoft Security Essentials (IE11 / Win 7 Pro).
Last couple days I've been getting a strange small window open perhaps once a day together with a taskbar button that says ZoneAlarm with their logo. Has happened while surfing the net and opening email. The email that may have triggered it doesn't trigger it again if I close that email and reopen it.
Have no clue what this is trying to tell me. If I click the ZA icon over by the clock, it opens and shows that every thing is protected. Some times I get a popup from ZA trying to get me to purchase the full version of their software, but that's the hazard of using freeware. So is this just a failed attempt to get me to buy something, or could this be something more sinister?
Here's a jpg of the 'window'. The entire blue background is the wallpaper on my desktop. I can click the red X in the window or right-click the taskbar button and close the window without any issues.
