Inspiron 3847 / Windows 7: Wireless keyboard/mouse don't wake from sleep mode

Hi,

I got a brand new Inspiron 3847 w/ Windows 7; The OS is vanilla with everything updated (dell drivers, windows updates etc). I've got wireless Dell Keyboard & Mouse communicating working directly with the onboard bluetooth device, but I'm observing the following:

- At boot time I get "Keyboard Failure" unless I connect the USB keyboard

- When the computer goes to sleep there's no way of waking it up, unless I plug in the USB keyboard and use that one, or hit the power button.

I'm kinda baffled because this is a pretty basic functionality; my 7 year old Dell Precision wakes up (and boots up with keyboard) successfully using an old USB bluetooth dongle by Widcomm; I tried using that dongle on the new Inspiron but there's no way of disabling the onboard bluetooth device.

I also tried running Logitech Setpoint for controlling the device - to no help.

In the device manager, under Network Adapter, for "Dell Wireless 1705 802.11b/g/n, the option to "Allow this device to wake the computer" is grayed out and cannot be enabled.

Please help,

Ofir
