Hi Everybody,
I'm using an HP P410 raid controller and since my previous motherbord failed I wanted to fit everything into the Optiplex 990.
The card is an x8 card, so I thought I had to put it into the primary(blue) PCI slot (which is x16) but in that slot, it does not recognize my card, bios also shows "empty".
When I put it in the secondary slot (the x16/4wired), it recognizes it, but still I am having the feeling that it does not get enough resources in that slot, my array already crashed twice in 2 days.
What is the reason that it cant find it in the primary slot?
I also tried putting an intel Pro 1000 card inside the primary slot, it also does not get detected. While it is detected in the secondary...
I am running Bios A18. The latest.
Could it be that my mobo is broken? Do I oversee an setting? What could it be?
