I got this computer used and broken from a friend. Parts had been removed so II have been trying to fix it up for weeks. I bought new RAM that has all been tested good and a new graphics card that seems to be working fine. I am currently trying to install Windows on it. I have tried several different versions and none of them will install (I think it's a bad hard drive, I have a new one on the way) but the fan gets crazy loud even doing the simplest of tasks. Even in the BIOS the fan runs at what seems like 100% I can't download any third party programs that runs inside of Windows because it has no version of Windows installed. I have checked the CPU, the fan and the heat sink and they all are cleaned and free of dust. Should I buy a new fan and heat sink? It also seems the glue between the CPU and heat sink has dried up? Should I buy more glue? I'm open to any suggestions.
