About a week ago, my XPS 8500 just stopped turning on. The power button was solid amber, which is an issue I ran into about 3 months ago. At that time, I ran through a bunch of troubleshooting on here, replaced the original motherboard, PSU, and hard drive. I eventually got the system back up and running, and it ran for 3 months until the solid amber light showed back up again.
I assumed it was the motherboard again, and I was luckily on my 90th day of a 90 day warranty, so had a replacement motherboard sent out to me. I just installed the new motherboard, the amber light is gone, I have a white power light once again, so I assume that's good news, but I'm not getting anything on my monitor.
I read some other posts, and have taken out / reset the CMOS battery, and also reseated everything on the board with no luck. I was hoping someone could suggest some other ideas?
Thanks!
