Hi,
We have a number of 3010's and only one has this issue. In effect, the computer appears to lock up randomly, but we've discovered that actually only the keyboard and mouse have stopped working and the OS continues to work behind the scenes.
80% of the time we can unplug the keyboard and mouse and plug them back into different USB ports (they have to be different USB ports for this to work - front or back panel) and it starts working again. However, 20% of the time when we replug the devices in, we can see the mouse cursor change and the devices reinstalling via the 'progress icons' on the taskbar that pop up, but they still won't work and the only option we have then is to hold the power button down.
I've already tried uninstalling\reinstalling drivers that I think are relevant, changing the keyboard and mouse etc.
Does anyone have any ideas how to resolve this without a rebuild?
